OUR MISSION STATEMENT

 

 

Founded in July of 1975 in Superior, Wisconsin. The purpose of this society is the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, and the extension of human education.

It is the policy of the Society to provide humane care and treatment for all animals needing protecting in the area served by the Society; to seek to return lost animals to their owners; to seek suitable homes for animals without owners; to provide humane euthanasia when necessary.  No animal under the control of the Society may be disposed of except as here specifically provided.  In its care and disposition of animals, the Society shall maintain the minimum standards prescribed by the Humane Society of the United States.

 

 

HOURS

The shelter is open 7 days a week, from 10 am - 2 pm.  We are also open Wednesday evenings from 5 pm - 8 pm
We are closed in observation of the following holidays:
New Year's Day
Easter Sunday
Memorial Day
Fourth of July
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day

MEMBERSHIP

Our memberships are annual at:

$5 for juniors under 18 (non-voting)
$10.50 for an individual with one vote
$20.00 for family membership with two votes
$150.00 for an individual lifetime membership with one vote
$35.00 for non-voting Business Membership
